First run
Section titled “First run”When you run Polytoken for the first time with no configuration file, Polytoken opens the configurator and shows a welcome dialog. The welcome dialog lists the two setup steps that get you to a working session. It also links to the documentation and the Discord server. Click a link in the dialog to copy its address to your clipboard. The dialog never opens a browser.
- Create a provider. The welcome dialog recommends DeepInfra, z.ai/GLM, or OpenAI Codex.
- Configure web search. The welcome dialog marks this step optional but recommended.
Press OK or Esc to dismiss the welcome dialog and start configuring.
Moving around the configurator
Section titled “Moving around the configurator”The configurator shows a Categories list on the left of the window. Every settings area appears in that list, and the selected area fills the rest of the window.
Up and Down move the selection while the Categories list has focus, and the settings area follows. Press Right or Enter to move focus from the Categories list into the settings area. Left returns focus to the Categories list while the settings area has focus. The highlighted frame shows where the keyboard is.
Tab and Shift+Tab switch settings areas whether focus is on the Categories list or in a settings area. On narrow terminals the Categories list collapses to a « marker while a settings area has focus.
The mouse follows the same focus boundary: while a dialog owns the keyboard, wheel and scrollbar actions stay with that dialog (a selector picker’s entries, for example), never reaching the settings area behind it.
